Vivamus: a London chamber choir
Welcome to Vivamus! We’re a welcoming chamber choir, united by a shared commitment to high standards of singing and musical complexity.
About us
We’re small and based in London, with singers hailing from lots of different backgrounds. We enjoy singing a diverse and challenging range of repertoire from well-known classics to new works by living composers.
We rehearse weekly (with breaks for summer, Christmas and Easter), and aim to perform at least four times a year at venues in and around central London. We frequently perform in St Clement Danes RAF Church on The Strand (where we rehearse every week) and have also performed at St Martin-in-the-Fields and St James’, Piccadilly.
We also organise away weekends to sing in UK cathedrals. We’ve visited Belfast, Lincoln and York in recent years, and we thoroughly enjoyed singing services at St Albans Cathedral over the bank holiday weekend in August 2023.

Interested in joining us?
We’re a friendly, informal group who love to welcome new members. We’re currently seeking tenors and basses so if you’re interested, do get in touch. Most – though not all – of us have previous experience such as singing in chapel choirs, university or college choirs, or other chamber choirs.
If you enjoy singing varied SATB music, come along to St Clement Danes for a couple of Thursday rehearsals to get to know us. After that, we ask you to do a simple audition to join formally. If you’re interested, we’d love to hear from you!
