About us
Vivamus made its debut at St Georges’ Hanover Square in October 2002, singing Kodaly’s Missa Brevis and Rutter’s Requiem, and soon afterwards performed a Christmas concert at the National Portrait Gallery, to a capacity audience. Perhaps the choir’s greatest coup in its infancy was its performance of Bach’s monumental B Minor Mass at St John’s Smith Square with the acclaimed orchestra The London Mozart Players in March 2003 which received great critical acclaim. Vivamus has also appeared at the Royal Festival Hall in December 2004, performing Elijah with the Philharmonia Chorus, London Festival Orchestra and Sir Willard White. Over the last 6 years, Vivamus has built up a diverse repertoire that spans five centuries of music’s most challenging and most popular composers.
Vivamus is a young and exciting choir, and we believe its social life is as important as the excellent music we make. We are on the lookout for enthusiastic and committed people to join us. Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings at St Clement Danes Church, Strand, London, from 7.15pm until 9pm
If you would like to find out more about Vivamus and perhaps join our exciting choir and have the opportunity to perform in some of London’s most prestigious venues with some of the finest soloists and orchestras, you are invited to attend our rehearsals.
